The influential post-hardcore band Quicksand is playing Jera On Air in 2026! Founded in 1990, the band is known for its intense blend of hardcore punk, alternative metal, and dynamic melodic structures. Vocalist and founder Walter Schreifels previously played in bands like Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today. This experience helped shape Quicksand's sound. Their 1993 debut album "Slip" has become a classic in the post-hardcore scene. Quicksand has experienced some tensions over the years, leading to several breakups. In 2012, the band was supposed to reunite for a one-off show, but this turned out to be the beginning of a reunion! After a whopping 22 years without new music, the comeback album "Interiors" was released in 2017, followed by "Distant Populations" in 2021.
