Fresku

In late 2008, Fresku released the song “Brief Aan Kees,” addressed to Kees de Koning, which earned him a contract with Top Notch in 2009. In 2010, his debut album “Fresku” was released, followed by the album “Maskerade” in 2012. Both albums were voted Best Album at the State Awards. His third album, “Nooit Meer Terug,” was released in 2015. Fresku felt that he couldn’t express everything through music and made his debut as a comedian in 2016 with his one-man show ‘Welkom Bij De Fresku Show’. Together with Mani, he then released the collaborative album ‘Juice’ in 2017. Last year, he recorded a track for his newborn, sick son Rayaan. He created this song together with Janne Schra, and it can also be heard on ‘In Het Diepe’. On October 26, 2021, his new album titled ‘In De Lucht (Part 1)’ was released. This album is about personal intuition and what’s in the air, and not knowing exactly what will come of it. In 2022, Fresku was selected as an ambassador of freedom for May 5. He performed in Utrecht and The Hague and concluded with a concert on the Amstel River, accompanied by the Philharmonie Orchestra. In September and October 2022, Fresku and his band will tour the country with his club tour ‘In De Lucht’.
