ILÆNDER is a dynamic Dutch alternative metal band known for fusing crushing low-tuned riffs with atmospheric, melodic layers to create a powerful and immersive sonic identity. Born from a shared passion for heavy music, the band draws inspiration from genre-shaping acts like Deftones while channeling the raw energy and nostalgia of the Alt-/Nu-Metal era.

With a sound that balances intensity and emotion, ILÆNDER leads listeners through a landscape of personal conflict, haunting textures, and cathartic heaviness. Their live presence has quickly earned them a reputation as an electrifying and reliable force on stage. The band performed support shows for SNOT and Coheed & Cambria, delivered a full nationwide run as part of the Dutch touring showcase Popronde, and provided official aftershow performances for Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium—further cementing their place in the modern metal scene.

Following the release of their debut EP ALPHA in fall 2024, ILÆNDER continues to evolve their sound. Their third single of upcoming EP BETA, ‘INSIDE MY HEAD’, marks the next step in their journey—pushing their blend of heavy, atmospheric alternative metal into even deeper emotional territory.
