Kanonenfieber

The German band Kanonenfieber was founded in 2020 as a solo project by the anonymous
musician Noise. Although the musician records all instruments himself in the studio, he performs
live with a full band, that also remains completely anonymous. This anonymity is intentional: all
members wear masks and uniforms as a reference to the “unknown soldier.” The lyrics of
Kanonenfieber revolve around the First World War, based on real letters, diaries, and historical
documents. The project originated after Noise read the diary of his great-grandfather, who was a
soldier. The message is never heroic; instead, it highlights the horror, trauma, and senselessness of
war. Kanonenfieber’s intense and theatrical live shows have led to a rapid rise, making them an
important name in extreme metal. This is not just a show, this is an experience!
