The punk rockers of Maria Iskariot, originated from Belgium, won the 2024 Belgian rock band competition Humo's Rock Rally. Following this victory, Maria Iskariot released their debut EP "EN/EN" through the label of Dutch rapper Faberyayo and Abel van Gijlswijk. The band shows that Belgian punk should be taken very seriously. With the Dutch tracks being straightforward and mixing various elements, tempo’s and instruments. They incorporate influences from older and classic tracks into their own tracks, such as “Schipper,” which is based on “Schipper mag ik overvaren?”.
