Zulu started in 2019, as a one-person hardcore project by Anaiah Lei in Los Angeles, but has since grown into a band. Two EPs have already been released and their debut album is in the works. Zulu describes itself as “A band that is 100% for, by and about black folks”. Lei doesn’t make it a secret that influences come from all the genres he likes to listen to: soul, R&B, reggae, funk and jazz. That promises a lot of variety during their show!
